WordPress customised website Redesign

How Brainiac Media has helped improve the user journey of the BIH website and redesigned the website to better meet its customers' needs. 

Boustead International Heater Ltd (BIH) is a world leading designer and supplier of Direct Fired Heaters, Waste Heat Recovery Units (WHRUs) and Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) which help reclaim energy and help the environment. 

The brief

The brief  to redesign their website and breathe new life into their existing brand. As their current website had become outdated and difficult for their website users to find key information when making a purchasing decision.

The website needed to be more user friendly and easier to find on search engines, while improving the UX/UI, to help users of the website find the information key to them. 

What we did 

Website redesign & brand refresh 

Our design team worked with BIH to refresh the brand and website. They required a clean, modern visually pleasing website that showcased their work in the energy sector. We looked at their products in the plants and saw many metallic elements and wanted that to reflect in the new brand, from there we created a new colour palette, colour duo tones of metallic grey steel, black, and sand gold. 

Website UX Design

Another key factor was the need to improve the user experience (UX), so that users were able to find key information on the website easily to avoid users becoming frustrated while searching for information. The design and development team worked together to deliver a new website that displays the key information users are interested in no more than a 3 click navigation, the result a new branded website with user experience at the forefront.

WordPress Design & Framework Development

The old website was developed on the Joomla framework which BIH wanted to move away from and move over to the WordPress framework, our development team took the new UX and UI designs and bespokely developed the new website in WordPress. The development team were able to provide bespokely coded html for each page layout, without compromising on the usability of the content management system, so that BIH could use and edit content themselves easily.   

The end result 

BIH sales department wanted the ability to capture lead information to encourage sales and engagement, we were able to provide lead capture forms, which has seen an upturn in enquiries thanks to the ease of use and simple navigation around the website.
